Three minors are running away. Fleeing domestic violence and urban solitude, Manu, Julie and Anna find refuge in a forest house. At the end of its cellar, is a carved standing stone representing the "Door to Heaven". It is said that it is the place where one can speak to the dead, a legend that has special significance for the three friends who have each already tried to put an end to their days... Disturbing.
The three fugitives' closest neighbour is a painter, David, who every year paints the portrait of his daughter who mysteriously disappeared, just as if he imagines her ageing. But one of the three young girls looks like she could be the missing girl's sister... Troubling.
Vincent, the goat rearer who lives with his aunt, also roams these country areas and observes the adolescents with perhaps too much interest... Horrible. Not forgetting the policemen tasked with finding the runaways... Stressful.
