The regulars are gathered in the "Bar of the Good Kiddies": Louis the Portuguese, whose unemployment benefit will soon be cut; Pol and his gang, always broke, always thirsty, ready to do anything to make a few bob; Potché and Lam two Rumanian children who are becoming street-wise; and above all Dontcha, who makes many heads turn and many hearts beat faster. But what can these emigrants possibly dream of when their future is reduced to a struggle for survival? Ready to do anything to scrape a bit of happiness from the dreariness, how will each person react when faced with adversity?
