Fascinated by comic strips since he was young, Alcante nevertheless
began by studying economic sciences, followed by academic
research.
In 1995, he won a scenario competition and had
his story published in the magazine Spirou.
In 2002, he
started to regularly publish his scenarios for short stories in this
weekly magazine. These semi-realistic, semi-fantastic stories
prefigured Pandora Box, his very first series. Highly inspired by
fairytales and legends from all over the world, his influences vary
greatly from Jean Van Hamme to Makyo, Cothias and Alan Moore.
