This two-part graphic novel recounts the trials and tribulations of life and love of Addi, a seminarist from Senegal held prisoner by the Germans in Brittany, France. While imprisoned, he creates an outreach network for foreigners and falls in love with a schoolteacher named Jeanne. Are earthly emotions compatible with a life devoted to religion? Is it possible to forget God while staring into the eyes of a woman? This is a war story and a love story entwined into one.
