Using the contemporary soap opera's structure as a basis, Thomas Cadène initiated on the web one of the most surprising collective works around by bringing together a whole generation of blogging artists. Narrated like a serial at the crossroads between the graphic novel and the manga, drawn with total graphic freedom and written like a day-by-day journal, the web serial Les Autres Gens develops day after day an innovative yet very down-to-earth approach to the graphic novel. This serial doesn't shrink away from love, tears and tragedies, big or small. It also reveals the best talents of today, who are winning prizes and being honoured in all of the festivals (Bastien Vivès, Nicolas Nemiri, Kris, Aseyn, Vincent Sorel, Thomas Cadène and many others).
A new chapter is published online every day, as has been the case since March 2010, which works out at 1,400 pages of graphic novel for 2010 alone, yet the graphic and scripting qualities of the work have been praised by an enthusiastic press!
Episodes keep on being broadcast every day, and the albums "repeat" the episodes month by month, just like television series are shown for the first time on cable TV before being taken over on public broadcasting channels.
